Scenic River Cruise
Take a scenic river cruise aboard the MV Delafort. The vessel
departs Delaware City for a two-hour cruise along the Delaware
River. The Delfort is a United States Coast Guard documented
passenger ferry with upper and lower deck seating to provide the best
visibility of the scenery along the way. The sights include Historic
Fort Delaware on Pea Patch Island, Fort Dupont on the Delaware
shoreline, the port and shoreline of Delaware City. Other sights
depend on the river traffic and the charted course of the day. The
captain chooses the course depending upon wind, current, tide and
weather conditions to provide the most pleasant cruise possible.

Either before or after the cruise enjoy a delicious meal at the
Olde Canal Inn, steps from the Delafort dock in Delaware City. The
chef at the Olde Canal Inn is of local renown. The meal at the Olde
Canal Inn may be either Luncheon or Dinner. Multiple menus are
available with the buffets being the most popular. Then take some
time to browse the shops and visit the Port of History Center in
Delaware City.

This tour can be a stand-alone tour or can be combined with
other attractions. The most popular other local attractions are The
Historic Tour of Delaware City, Historic Fort Delaware and the
Historic Houses of Odessa. There is a plethora of other local
attractions than can be added as well.
